Ingredients
Pâté
- 1 Tbsp. + ¼ lb. separated Butter
- 1 cup MorningStar Farms® Sausage Style Crumbles (SKU: 28989-10230)
- 1 clove Garlic, sliced
- 1 ea. Shallots, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Chinese 5-spice
- 1 Tbsp. Kosher salt
- 2 Tbsp. Bourbon
- 3 ea. Pickles, sliced
Vegetable Salad
- 1 ea. Carrot, large
- 1/2 ea. Shallot, julienned
- 1 ea. Serrano pepper, small, de-seeded, sliced
- 1/4 ea. Cilantro, bunch
- 1/2 ea. Cucumber, peeled, de-seeded, julienned
- 1 tsp. Fish sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Rice vinegar
- 1/2 ea. Lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
- 1 tsp. Salt

- 8 ea. MorningStar Farms® Breakfast Sausage patties (SKU: 28989-97152)
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 ea. Baguette, quartered, sliced lengthwise, toasted
- 4 ea. Egg
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 tsp. Black sesame seeds
Recipe Directions
1. For the Pâté: In a pan, add butter and bring to medium heat. Sauté the MorningStar Farms® Sausage Style Crumbles, garlic, shallot, Chinese 5-spice, salt, bourbon, and pickles. Transfer to a food processor, add ¼ lb. of butter to emulsify and set aside.2. For the Vegetable Salad: Combine carrot, shallot, serrano, cilantro and cucumber in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix fish sauce, rice vinegar, lime juice, olive oil, and salt in a bowl and pour over salad.
3. Julienne the MorningStar Farms® Veggie Breakfast Sausage Patties then add to a sauté pan and caramelize in butter until crispy, around 7 minutes. In a hot pan, add butter and fry a sunny-side-up egg.
4. To Serve: Smear the baguette with pâté, then layer salad, caramelized sausage patties and fried egg. Finish with black sesame seeds.
