Savory Bleu Cheese Gardenburger® with Cranberry-Walnut Salsa

It's almost fit for a holiday! Fresh apple along with dried cranberries and walnuts give way to a traditional burger build that's far from ordinary.

Ingredients

  • 24 each (3 pounds 12 ounces) Gardenburger® Original Veggie Patties
  • 6 each (3 pounds) Granny Smith apples, fresh, thinly, sliced
  • 1 quart 1 2/3 cups (1 pound 8 ounces) dried cranberries
  • 1 pint 1 cup (12 ounces) walnuts, chopped
  • 1 quart 1 cup (1 pound 8 ounces) bleu cheese, crumbled
  • 24 leafs (24 ounces) romaine leaf, fresh
  • 96 rings (1 pound 8 ounces) red onions, fresh, sliced
  • 24 slices (1 pound 1 ounce) tomato, fresh, sliced
  • 24 each sourdough buns

Recipe Directions

1. Cook Gardenburger® Original Burger patty according to directions.
2. Combine apples, cranberries, walnuts, and bleu cheese.
3. Place mixture on patty.
4. Place patty under broiler for 2 minutes to melt cheese.
5. Place lettuce, onions, and tomatoes on bottom bun, then place patty on top of lettuce mixture and top with bun.
