Hatch Green Chile Burger

Ingredients
- 1 (4 oz.) Gardenburger® Roasted Garlic & Quinoa Patty, thawed
- 1 tsp. Vegetable oil or spray
- 2 slices Jack cheese ½ oz. wt.
- 1 tsp. Butter or liquid butter alternative
- 1 ea. Tellera bun, split or Brioche bun
- 4 tsp. Mayonnaise
- 1 - #30 scoop (Black handle) Avocado Lime Smash or Guacamole (Use preferred brand or recipe below)
- 3 ea. Red onion rings sliced ¼", warmed
- ¼ cup (1.5 oz.) Hatch green chile pepper, roasted, peeled, cut into strips.
AVOCADO LIME SMASH
- 8 ea. Avocados, ripe
- 2 tsp. Kosher salt
- ½ cup Lime juice, fresh squeezed
Recipe Directions
1. Heat Gardenburger® Roasted Garlic & Quinoa patty on oiled 350° F griddle or skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until crispy and interior is 165° F.2. Place cheese on patty and melt.
3. Spread butter on both cut sides of bun, heat on griddle or bun toaster. Spread 2 tsp. of mayonnaise on toasted bottom half.
4. On top of the mayonnaise, spread Avocado Lime Smash, place red onion rings and patty with melted cheese.
5. Place warmed chile pepper strips in center of cheese and patty. Close bun with toasted top half. Frill pick to secure.
AVOCADO LIME SMASH:
1. Wash & drain avocados. Slice in half, remove pit, scoop out flesh, place in small bowl.
2. In small bowl, stir salt into lime juice until dissolved. Pour over avocados.
3. Mash avocado to lightly mix with lime juice. Leave pieces of avocados for a chunky mash.
4. Place into storage container with plastic wrap directly on top of mash to seal out air.
5. Seal with lid, label, date & refrigerate.
