Tuna Maki Rolls

  • Tuna: (KICRecipeIngredient-74861)
  • 12 ounces sushi grade tuna
  • ½ clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • Chili Mayonnaise: (KICRecipeIngredient-74867)
  • ½ cup (4 ounces) mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons chili paste
  • Maki Roll: (KICRecipeIngredient-74870)
  • 2 teaspoons wasabi paste
  • 1 each large nori sheet cut into 24 squares
  • 1 cup sushi rice, cooked
  • ½ cup (2 ounces) English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • ½ medium (1 ounce) carrot, small dice
  • ½ cup (2 ½ ounces) avocado, small dice
  • 24 Carr's® Table Water® Baked with Toasted Sesame Seeds crackers

Recipe Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and reserve.

Chili Mayonnaise:
1. Combine both ingredients in a mixing bowl and place into a squeeze bottle. Reserve.

Maki Roll Assembly:
1. Place a very small amount of wasabi paste in the middle of a cracker. Secure one piece of nori on top of the wasabi paste.
2. Using a small biscuit cutter, place a small layer of sushi rice in the bottom of the cutter. Next, layer in the tuna, cucumber, carrot and avocado.
3. Push on each layer to ensure that the mixture is tight. Push mixture onto cracker. Finish with chili mayonnaise on the top.
