Gyro Veggie Pita Featuring Gardenburger® Classic

  • 100 each Gardenburger® Classic CN label, sliced
  • 100 each Pita bread, whole wheat, 6", 1.8 oz.
  • 3 gal. 2 cup. Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 3 gal. 2 cup Tomatoes, diced
  • 100 oz. RTU Tzatziki Sauce

Recipe Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400º F.
2. Spray baking sheet with non-stick coating.
3. Place frozen burgers on baking sheet and bake for 14-16 minutes.
4. Turn burgers over half-way through baking.
5. Heat to internal temperature 165º F.
6. Slice burgers into strips.
7. Warm pita bread so it is soft and pliable.
8. To serve, place 1 sliced veggie burger on each pita. Top with ½ c. chopped romaine and 2 Tbs. diced tomatoes. Drizzle 2 Tbs. (1oz.) sauce over burger strips. Fold pita over and serve.
