MorningStar Farms® Chipotle Black Bean Elote Burger

Pickled Serrano Chilis

  • 1 qt. Water
  • 1 cup White wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Salt
  • 8 ea. Serrano chilis, sliced


  • 2 oz. Neutral oil
  • 3 ears Corn
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Cotija cheese
  • 4 sprigs Cilantro, chopped


  • 1/4 head Cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 ea. Pickled serrano chili
  • 1/4 ea. Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lime Lime, juice
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • to taste Ground black pepper
  • 2 oz. Neutral oil
  • 5 ea. Brioche bun
  • 5 ea. MorningStar Farms® Chipotle Black Bean Burger (SKU: 28989-31651)
  • 1 ea. Beefsteak tomato, sliced

Recipe Directions

1. For the Pickled Serrano Chilis: Add water, white wine vinegar, sugar, and salt to a pot and bring to a boil. Pour the mixture over the sliced serrano chilis. Allow to cool to room temperature then refrigerate.
2. For the Elote: Rub oil over corn until coated. Place ear of corn on grill, season with salt and pepper, and turn until brown. Then cut kernels into a bowl. Mix in mayonnaise, cheese, and cilantro. Stir to combine.
3. For the Slaw: Combine cabbage, jalapeno, and red onion in bowl and mix with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
4. For the Burger: Brush grill with oil, place burger on top and grill. Toast bun on grill top.
5. To Serve: Build burger by topping bottom of bun with MorningStar Farms® Black Bean Burger patty, then add a slice of tomato, elote mix and slaw.
