Cheez-It® Cheddar Spread Smashed Avocado, Sausage Patty, Cheez-It® Fried Onions, and Whole Cheez-It® Crackers Stacked Between Two Waffle Hashbrowns

  • 8-10 pieces Whole Cheez-It® Crackers
  • 8 oz. Ripe Avocado
  • 4, 2 oz. portions Sausage Patty
  • 8 oz. Cheddar cheese spread
  • 4 oz. Dry fried onions
  • 1 tbs Lemon juice
  • 8 pieces Waffle Hashbrowns
  • 3 oz. Crumbled Cheez-It® Crackers
  • as needed Milk

Recipe Directions

1. To prepare the Cheez-It® Cheddar Spread: In stand mixer with whipping attachment (or food processor), add cheddar cheese spread, 1.5 oz crumbled Cheez-It® Crackers and whip until incorporated. Use milk to loosen mixture as needed. Mixture should be easily spreadable.

2.For the Cheez-It® Fried Onions: In small food processor, combine fried onions and 1.5 oz Cheez-It® Crackers. Pulse 5 times to blend the ingredients.

3. For the Waffle: Cook prepared waffle hash browns to recommended producer suggestions. Freeze before frying.

4. For the Sausage: Cook sausage patty to recommended producer suggestions.

5. For Avocado Mash: Cut open ripe avocado, remove seed from avocado and scoop out flesh with spoon. Place 8 oz avocado in bowl, using fork mash avocado until semi-smooth. Add lemon juice and salt to taste.

6. To Serve: Divide Cheez-It® cheddar spread on all 8 waffle hash browns. Divide avocado mash on designated top 4 waffle hash browns. Sprinkle desired amount of Cheez-It® fried onion mix on designated bottom waffle hash browns. Layer whole Cheez-It® Crackers on bottom waffle hash browns to cover bottom piece. Top whole Cheez-It® Crackers with sausage patty. Combine four tops with four bottoms.
