Grilled Cheez-It® Dippers

A different take on grilled cheese!

Products Used: Cheez-It® Crackers Made With Whole Grain
Servings: 100 Portions (Serving Size: 2 Dippers)


Recipe Directions

1. Preheat convection oven to 350º F.
2. In a food processor, pulse the Cheez-It® Crackers until finely textured; remove crushed Cheez-It® from food processer and reserve.
3. Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat or in heat in microwave until melted and reserve.
4. Lay out slices of bread on a flat surface and use a rolling pin to flatten the bread both horizontally and vertically.
5. Place 2 slices of cheese next to each other on top of each slice of bread then roll up tightly to form the dippers.
6. Roll the dippers, as well as their ends, in the melted butter, then roll in Cheez-It® crumbs. The butter will serve as a glue for the Cheez-It® crumbs. Add a tooth pick to the center of the rolls to hold in place while cooking.
7. Bake rolls on an ungreased, paper lined baking sheet for 8 minutes at 350° F.
